Canon launches new Canon Arizona 135 GT

Canon announced the launch of the new Arizona 135 GT flatbed printer, offering sign makers, print service providers and offset and screen printers, among others, a smart technology investment to fulfill new business opportunities.

The Arizona 135 GT uses VariaDot greyscale printing technology, which uses advanced drop size selection techniques to deliver photo-realistic images. With the ability to handle substrates of up to 125 x 250 cm in size and up to 50.8 mm thick and to print at speeds of up to 34.2 m²/hour, the Arizona 135 GT is a smart investment from just 2,000 m² per year.

The Arizona flatbed technology and its UV-LED curing, a vast range of durable applications are achievable on rigid or flexible media with standard or porous surfaces, including glass, aluminum and other metals, canvas, wood, MDF, cardstock, ceramic tiles and plastics. The optional Arizona Static Suppression Upgrade Kit also enables the Arizona 135 GT to print on hard plastic materials, such as acrylic, polycarbonate and styrene, while the Arizona Classic high-pressure vacuum system provides extremely reliable media hold-down during printing, even for warped rigid media. This allows users to produce flexible media applications up to 220 cm wide, including thin and heat-sensitive media, and to run roll-to-roll jobs unattended overnight.

Roland DG ZT-1900 Textile Printer

Roland DG EMEA announces its largest and most productive textile printer to date the “ZT-1900”. This dye-sublimation printer is 1.9m wide and delivers quality print on applications including; fashion, sportswear, personalized interior decoration and soft signage.

The new ZT-1900 can print 220 sqm/hr in draft mode and 150 sqm/hr in production mode and a mirrored CMYK configuration for increased productivity. An integrated infrared dryer allows quick drying, and a 5 kg ink container capacity enables fast finishing, while high levels of automation allow 24-hour production.

Four double-channel Kyocera printheads deliver detailed text, image quality and vibrant solid colours. Roland's high-density dye-sublimation inks produce a wide colour gamut and are compatible with coated and uncoated paper for production versatility. The ZT-1900 also handles lightweight paper (>18gr/sqm) and large paper rolls up to 450kg to reduce paper cost and increase printing time without stops.

CANON Introduces the ARIZONA 2300 SERIES

Canon U.S.A., Inc., introduces to the wide format print market the new Arizona 2300 Series UV curable flatbed printers, designed to speed up production, improve operational efficiencies and fuel growth opportunities.

The new Arizona 2300 Series offers an instant-on capability through its UV-LED curing system, enabling quicker turnaround for last-minute jobs This series is built around the Arizona FLOW technology, a vacuum technique that supports a zone-less, multi-origin table layout. This technology offers more productivity, as it requires less masking and taping, and is supported by easy-to-use, three-sided pneumatic registration pins to better secure the substrate in place on the table.

Additionally, this series also provides customers with the ability to print up to 1,001 ft2/hr. and an automated maintenance system that offers hands-free printhead maintenance that reduce the downtime by restoring nozzle function.

The Arizona 2300 offers UV-LED curing for 40 percent less energy consumption that has been certified for the North American market by TÜV and DGUV.
